Tomatillo Salsa Verde
Tangy, slightly smoky green salsa from roasted tomatillos and peppers. A totally different flavor profile from red salsa — bright, acidic, and complex. Excellent on eggs and tacos.
Ingredients

- tomatillos (1 lb husked)
- jalapeño or serrano (2)
- fresh cilantro
🛒 From the Store
- onion
- garlic
- lime juice
- salt
- cumin optional
How to Make It
- Gather your ingredients: tomatillos (1 lb husked), jalapeño or serrano (2), fresh cilantro, onion, garlic, and the rest.
- Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: tomatillos (1 lb husked), jalapeño or serrano (2), fresh cilantro.
- Broil the tomatillos, peppers, and onion 4 inches from the heat until everything is charred and blistered — about 10 minutes. Blend everything including the charred bits and juices for maximum flavor.
- Cook for approximately 25 min. Adjust to taste and serve 8 portions.
- Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
