Garden Hot Honey
Your raw honey infused with your own hot peppers. A condiment that drizzles onto fried chicken, pizza, and cheese boards and makes everyone ask what it is. Wildly simple to make.
Ingredients
🌱 From Your Homestead
- raw honey (1 cup)
- fresh hot peppers (4-6, any variety)
- garlic (2 cloves optional)
🛒 From the Store
- apple cider vinegar (1 tsp, for shelf stability)
How to Make It
- Gather your ingredients: raw honey (1 cup), fresh hot peppers (4-6, any variety), garlic (2 cloves optional), apple cider vinegar (1 tsp, for shelf stability).
- Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: raw honey (1 cup), fresh hot peppers (4-6, any variety), garlic (2 cloves optional).
- Warm the honey gently to 150°F — do not boil. Boiling destroys the enzymes and floral character in raw honey. Add sliced peppers off heat and let them steep overnight in the warm honey.
- Cook for approximately 20 min + overnight. Adjust to taste and serve 20 portions.
- Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
