Fresh Garden Salsa
Real salsa tastes nothing like the jarred version. When you start with garden-ripe tomatoes and fresh peppers, it's a completely different food.
Ingredients
🌱 From Your Homestead
- ripe tomatoes (4)
- jalapeños or serrano (2)
- fresh cilantro
🛒 From the Store
- onion
- garlic
- lime juice
- salt
How to Make It
- Gather your ingredients: ripe tomatoes (4), jalapeños or serrano (2), fresh cilantro, onion, garlic, and the rest.
- Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: ripe tomatoes (4), jalapeños or serrano (2), fresh cilantro.
- Char the tomatoes and peppers directly over a gas flame or under the broiler before blending. Adds smokiness that fresh alone can't do.
- Cook for approximately 15 min. Adjust to taste and serve 8 portions.
- Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
