Whatever berries are ripe right now under a thick, buttery oat crumble. The easiest proper dessert you can make, and one where peak-season fruit means it will always taste better at home than in a restaurant.

Ingredients

🌱 From Your Homestead

  • fresh berries (4 cups, any mix)
  • raw honey (2 tbsp)

🛒 From the Store

  • rolled oats
  • flour
  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • salt
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

How to Make It

  1. Gather your ingredients: fresh berries (4 cups, any mix), raw honey (2 tbsp), rolled oats, flour, butter, and the rest.
  2. Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: fresh berries (4 cups, any mix), raw honey (2 tbsp).
  3. Toss the berries with just a little flour or cornstarch before adding the crumble topping — it thickens the juices as they bubble so you get a proper filling instead of berry soup.
  4. Cook for approximately 45 min. Adjust to taste and serve 6 portions.
  5. Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
