The simplest recipe when tomatoes are peak ripe. Great tomatoes need almost nothing — just good olive oil, salt, and fresh basil.

Ingredients

🌱 From Your Homestead

  • ripe heirloom tomatoes
  • fresh basil

🛒 From the Store

  • fresh mozzarella
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • flaky salt
  • balsamic glaze

How to Make It

  1. Gather your ingredients: ripe heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, extra-virgin olive oil, flaky salt, and the rest.
  2. Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: ripe heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil.
  3. Slice tomatoes no more than 30 minutes before serving — they release water and get soggy fast.
  4. Cook for approximately 10 min. Adjust to taste and serve 4 portions.
  5. Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
