No-cook, no-canning fresh berry jam that takes 20 minutes and lives in the freezer. Brighter fruit flavor than cooked jam because you never heat the berries. Thaw in the fridge overnight and it spreads just like the real thing — because it is.

Ingredients

🌱 From Your Homestead

  • fresh berries (4 cups — strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or any mix)
  • lemon juice (1 tbsp)

🛒 From the Store

  • freezer jam pectin (1 packet, specifically labeled freezer jam)
  • sugar (1.5 cups)
  • freezer-safe containers

How to Make It

  1. Gather your ingredients: fresh berries (4 cups — strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or any mix), lemon juice (1 tbsp), freezer jam pectin (1 packet, specifically labeled freezer jam), sugar (1.5 cups), freezer-safe containers.
  2. Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: fresh berries (4 cups — strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or any mix), lemon juice (1 tbsp).
  3. Mash berries in batches — leave some texture, don't purée them completely. The small chunks of fruit are the point. Crush, stir in sugar and pectin per package instructions, and pour into containers immediately before it sets.
  4. Cook for approximately 20 min + freeze. Adjust to taste and serve 32 portions.
  5. Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
