Make pesto in big batches at peak herb season and freeze in ice cube trays. Each cube is one pasta serving — perfectly portioned winter flavor.

Ingredients

🌱 From Your Homestead

  • fresh basil or mixed herbs (4 cups)

🛒 From the Store

  • olive oil
  • garlic
  • salt
  • nuts optional

How to Make It

  1. Gather your ingredients: fresh basil or mixed herbs (4 cups), olive oil, garlic, salt, nuts optional.
  2. Prep your homestead ingredients — wash, chop, and measure: fresh basil or mixed herbs (4 cups).
  3. Skip the cheese when freezing — add it fresh when you use the cube. Cheese doesn't freeze well and changes texture.
  4. Cook for approximately 15 min. Adjust to taste and serve 24 portions.
  5. Plate, enjoy, and share with your household!
